Overview
QQube cannot synchronize when the QQube Synchronizer is not running in the Windows session responsible for synchronization.
In this condition, the QQube Configuration Tool may display QQube Synchronizer is not running.
Resolve every failed synchronization
A later synchronization that reports Success does not mean an earlier failed synchronization should be ignored. Review the failed entry and complete the required corrective action.
The synchronization log for this condition may contain a message similar to the following:
Detailed synchronization log message
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 10/15/2027 06:44:57 PM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The QQube Synchronizer was signaled to run a Synch but was not able to do so. Please check the server session and verify it is running in the system tray.
What the Error Means
The QQube Synchronizer is not active in the Windows session assigned to perform synchronization. This normally occurs because the Synchronizer was closed, did not start after a restart, the synchronization session was logged off, or the Multi-User synchronization assignment is incorrect.
Resolution
Single-User
1. Start the QQube Synchronizer
In Windows, select Start > Programs > CLEARIFY - QQube Tool > QQube Synchronizer.

2. Confirm the System-Tray Icon
Confirm that the QQube lightning-bolt icon appears in the Windows system tray.

Multi-User
Use the synchronization session where QQube was installed
On a local-network server, use the administrative console session and keep it signed in; it may be locked, but it must not be logged off. In a Remote Desktop or hosted environment, use the dedicated qqubesynch Windows user and keep that session signed in.
1. Confirm the Synchronization Session Is Signed In
Sign in to the Windows session that performs QQube synchronization. Do not log off that session while QQube synchronization is expected to run.
2. Start the QQube Synchronizer
Start the QQube Synchronizer from Start > Programs > CLEARIFY - QQube Tool > QQube Synchronizer.
3. Confirm the Synchronizer Computer Setting
Open the QQube Configuration Tool and confirm that the correct server synchronization session is assigned as the Synchronizer Computer.
4. Confirm the Required Startup Configuration
The Multi-User installation requires the QQube startup shortcuts to be configured for the synchronization session so the required QQube components start after Windows restarts.
Review the guide for your environment:
Expected Result
The QQube Synchronizer is running in the correct Windows session, the lightning-bolt icon appears in the system tray, the Configuration Tool no longer reports that the Synchronizer is not running, and scheduled or manually requested synchronizations can begin.
