Overview
There are four types of Simple Filters that will filter the whole QuickBooks data block.
- Pick Filters
- Text Filters
- Value Filters
- Calendar Filters
There is also an Advanced Filter dialog box that is available on the Data Ribbon in Excel.
- Allows you to filter on complex criteria such as Item Type = Inventory Item and Sales > 2000.
- Option to make a copy of the filtered subset in another sheet.
Pick Filters
For List reports, you can manually check/pick one or multiple items for filtering.
Text/Label Filters
A simple List Report allows you to create a Text filter, e.g. Begins with 'Cover'
Value Filters
You can perform this type of filter only on a numeric type of field, e.g. quantity, amount
Calendar Filters
QQube has date ‘shortcuts’ which extend the ways in which you look at a date. E.g. May 7 is Friday, and the 127th day of the year, and the 5th day of the week, etc.
But did you know that there are ‘QuickBooks like’ Date Filters built in?
Advanced Filtering
Click on the Advanced Icon in the Sort & Filter Section, under the Data Ribbon in Excel to give you access to multiple criteria filter. In this example, we filtered for Item Type = Inventory Item which have sales greater than $2,000.
