Overview

Control the fiscal year parameters for financial summary data models and define what "today" is for shortcut measures in the various detail QQube Data Models such as Last Month, Last Year Last Month, etc.

QQube Data Model Date Ranges

Legend

  1. Fiscal Year Setup.  Option for multiple company files which may have different fiscal years.  You have two choices:
    1. Use the fiscal month as indicated in the QuickBooks File.
    2. Use the same fiscal year for all QuickBooks files.
  2. 52/53 Week Tax Year. Define the parameters of your IRS tax year.
  3. Fiscal Year Range for Standard, Advanced, and Legacy Job Financials.  Three-year range to control the 36 monthly periods in those data models.  Option to pause the Balance Sheet by Class Synch if you have several hundred classes, thus causing the synch to take much longer than desired.
  4. Fiscal Year Range for Flexible Custom Period Financials. Unlimited year range for flexible period Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Profit and Loss by Class.
  5. Current Definition.  This option is the key for all financial summary shortcuts, and all DAX shortcut formulas in PowerPivot and Power BI.  This is helpful if you are closing out the month, but don't want the "current" month to be based upon the day you synch.
